NAFSA: Association of International Educators is the world's largest nonprofit association dedicated to international education and exchange. The association works on behalf of more than 11,000 members and international educators worldwide across 4,300 institutions, in over 170 countries.
The NAFSA Annual Conference gives participants the opportunity to learn about the latest innovations, newest strategies, and best practices for international engagement in higher education. This year’s theme was ‘purpose, place, and partnership’, which are key focuses of Loughborough Business School’s ‘Progress with Purpose’ ethos.
Loughborough representatives met with existing and potential partner institutions to establish and build upon collaborations, fostering the School’s expansive exchange programme and study abroad opportunities.
International Relations Manager, Lucy Dixon said: "Attending the conference was a great opportunity to connect with international partners and strengthen student exchange agreements. Meeting representatives from institutions across Europe, Asia, North America, and Australia reinforced the value of collaboration in enhancing student experiences and international student mobility."
"Study exchanges give students the chance to immerse themselves in new cultures, develop critical skills, and broaden their horizons. They build adaptability, intercultural competence, and confidence, all qualities that benefit both their careers and personal growth."
"The conference was highly beneficial, allowing us to reconnect with partners and form new relationships with institutions committed to global collaboration. Discussions focused on developing effective student exchanges and fostering strong, supportive networks."
