Loughborough Business School is honoured to welcome alumnus Sir Peter Bonfield to give a lecture to staff and students.

Sir Peter Bonfield is a leading international business executive with extensive experience in the fields of electronics, computers and communications. Sir Peter has been involved with a diverse portfolio of companies operating at main board level in the USA, Europe and the Far East. Change management in international technology companies has characterised his work.

Sir Peter was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ICL plc and subsequently Chief Executive Officer of BT Group plc and has served on the boards of 12 quoted technology companies around the world.

He is a Fellow of several professional bodies, including the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the Royal Society of Arts, the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the British Computer Society. He has honorary doctorates from 11 universities. He is a proud graduate of Loughborough University with a degree in engineering and also holds an honorary doctorate of technology from the institution.

Sir Peter was appointed as Chair of Loughborough University Council and Senior Pro Chancellor in 2012 and has overseen some of the University’s most significant achievements.
