High Potential Opportunity (HPO) zone in Rehabilitation

The High Potential Opportunity (HPO) programme is co-ordinated by the Department for International Trade and selects investment opportunities to promote to foreign investors, driving investment unto the UK’s regions and nations.

With the growing demand for technologies, treatments and solutions that address patient needs in rehabilitation, Leicester and Leicestershire has been identified as an area of High Potential Opportunity by the UK Government.

Having a diverse, collaborative and rapidly developing ecosystem, the Department for International Trade (DIT) are working with us to highlight the region as the perfect location for industry to support delivery of this demand.

Businesses can access support and space to grow, for example at Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park, work with clinical populations through the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine – East Midlands, based on the Loughborough University campus, as well as accessing a broad range of research carried out in rehabilitation across campus.

DIT offer specialist support to foreign-owned companies seeking to set up or expand in the UK. More detail on the HPO bid can be found in the Investment Atlas.
