The reigning Commonwealth champion is poised to compete in the 100m hurdles, shot put, and high jump respectively.
Held on Sunday 19 May at the University’s Paula Radcliffe Stadium, LIA is widely recognised as the curtain raiser to the outdoor season with teams from England, Scotland, Wales, GB U20s, National Athletics League and Loughborough competing for the overall crown.
Alongside Johnson-Thompson, the expected capacity crowd will witness more of the world’s brightest athletes including Olympic finalist Emily Borthwick (high jump), reigning British and British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) javelin champions Bekah Walton and Ben East, GB 4x400m international Ben Higgins, and indoor BUCS 400m record holder, Emily Newnham.
Away from the athletics, there will also be various activities for children in the fun zone, including face painting, circus skills, and more. Spectators will also have access to food stalls and refreshments.
