I chose Loughborough because I believe pursuing a masters overseas extends beyond education to encompass a capacity for empathy and perspective.
Where did you study before coming to Loughborough?
I competed at Elon University in North Carolina where I earned a bachelor of arts in Strategic Communications with a minor in Professional Sales.
What did you choose Loughborough?
As a former division one athlete, I chose Loughborough because I believe pursuing a masters overseas extends beyond education to encompass a capacity for empathy and perspective. Not only am I training next to Olympic and professional athletes but also receiving a masters for a quarter the price it would cost where I am from, New York City. Overall, I am so happy to be given this opportunity and have full confidence that I can build a legacy through athletics, education, and global experiences.
What you’re enjoying so far about being in Loughborough?
The best part about Loughborough is how easy and affordable it is to travel. Not only is there an airport 15 minutes away but also trains or buses that can take you all over the United Kingdom. Due to these options, I am already looking into traveling to France, Greece, Italy, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and hopefully even climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. While a regular student could make these trips any weekend, I require more planning an availability because I am a member of the Loughborough Athletics First Team so my competitions take up travel opportunities.
As a member of the Athletics club here at Loughborough, What event do you compete in?
My main track event is the 400 but I also specialise in the 200
