With origins as a Technical Institute first formed in 1909, Loughborough University received its Royal Charter in 1966. Then called ‘Loughborough University of Technology’, it was the UK’s first technological university. Today, we are now one of the top 10 universities in the UK and are renowned for offering one of the best student experiences.
