More than £90,000 raised on Giving Day thanks to you

With a massive thank you to alumni, friends, and the whole Loughborough family, an incredible £90,000 has been donated for Giving Day 2025. Your donations made the day a huge success and will go a long way in supporting four incredible causes.

Thanks to you, donations will:  

  • Provide funding for Opportunity Scholarships for students from areas of low participation in higher education 
  • Contribute to Loughborough’s world-leading Digital Decarbonisation research 
  • Support student athletes with Sports Scholarships as they embark on their path towards the global stage 
  • And help a range of other causes and initiatives where the need is greatest. 

Within the £90,000 raised, £10,000 was unlocked in match-funding courtesy of alumnus Andy Waite! Thank you, Andy, for doubling the first £10,000 donated. 

The support for Giving Day 2025 has shown that by giving together, you – our alumni community, can make a huge impact.  

Donors to Giving Day will receive a range of updates over the next year about the impact of your donations. You will receive stories from recipients of funding – those who your donation has helped – and who without your support may face financial challenges. With your support, they, too, will be able to enjoy their Loughborough experience to the full and excel in their studies, research, or sport. Thank you.
