Opportunity Scholarships: be part of something bigger by giving together

This autumn, we are asking you to be part of a collective approach to the way in which we can support our students through Opportunity Scholarships.

As we reach out for support from our alumni and friends, you may receive communications in the post or via email about our Opportunity Scholarships.

We would be grateful if you could take the time to read and share what we have sent to you as we strive to increase the number of students who we can support on their higher education journey.

An Opportunity Scholarship awards a student with a financial gift of £3,000 a year for three years.

The scholarship supports students’ living costs. They may need to purchase course materials and computing equipment which is vital to their academic success – something many other students may take for granted.

A full scholarship is worth £9,000 over the course of three years. We know that is a big ask.

That is why we are asking you, as our alumni and friends, to give whatever you can.

You can find out further information, including four stories from our current scholars, on our webpages.

If you have any questions or if you wish to have a conversation about making a different gift to the University, please get in touch.
