Prior to joining Loughborough, Stephen had worked in the investment banking industry as an equity research analyst in Asia specialising in the banking sector. He is the author of a widely used handbook on bank analysis. More recently he taught at Cass Business School and worked as an independent banking consultant.
Stephen teaches a wide range of courses, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level including Accounting & Financial Management, Accounting & Performance Measurement, Financial Statement Analysis and Business Valuations, Accounting in Context, Behavioural Finance and International Financial Management.
Stephen was appointed Programme Director for the Business School's BSc in Accounting and Financial Management in September 2014 and has subsequently taken responsibility for the BSc in Banking, Finance and Management and BSc In Finance and Management. In February 2019 he was appointed Deputy Head of the Accounting and Finance group with responsibility for the management of the delivery of teaching by the group.
