Firat Batmaz has been a member of the Department of Computer Science at Loughborough University since 2007, currently serving as a University Teacher. Before joining Loughborough University, he held the position of a Principal Lecturer at the School of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Westminster, London.

Firat Batmaz currently leads the AI in Education (AIED) group. This group is committed to exploring and showcasing the potential of artificial intelligence in enhancing educational practices. Under his leadership, the group focuses on developing workshops, both within and outside the university, aimed at elucidating the advancements in AI and their practical applications in education.
