Abstract:

This talk will look at the history of source-code plagiarism detection, and focus on research taking place at Warwick. These will include style analysis approaches, the role of preprocessing on the effectiveness of detection tools, and student perceptions of plagiarism and collusion.

Speaker: Prof. Mike Joy

Mike Joy is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Warwick. His research interests focus on educational technology and computer science education in general, and source-code plagiarism detection in particular.
