We appreciate your commitment to providing our students with the opportunity to undertake professional training at your organisation during their upcoming academic year.
The professional placement you offer plays a pivotal role in our department's courses and is highly advantageous for both our students and the organisations they collaborate with.
Loughborough University has established a strong reputation over the years for producing graduates well-prepared for the dynamic demands of the modern world. Our industrial placement scheme leads to the award of the Diploma in Industrial Studies (DIS) or Diploma in Professional Studies (DPS) for our students, further enhancing their skills to excel in today's rapidly evolving job market.
During their placement, our students receive support from an academic staff member who serves as their Placement Tutor. The Placement Tutor conducts a mixture of in-person and virtual progress visits throughout the year, with all meetings, whenever possible, involving the student's line manager.
As we prepare to initiate the recruitment process for next year's placement students, second-year students will begin seeking placements in October. We kindly request that you share any details of placements your organisation may offer for the coming year.
