Background:

Monika’s background is in Biotechnology. She has graduated from Warsaw University of Technology with Master’s degree.

In 2007 Monika joined the Department of Chemical Engineering, Loughborough University as an Analytical and Bioengineering Laboratory Technician. During this time Monika was involved in teaching laboratory sessions both of undergraduate and postgraduate students. As well as teaching she was also involved in developing experiments for teaching sessions. In 2017 Monika was awarded the support team award for outstanding contribution in the design and preparation of the new experiments in STEMLab for the Bioengineering programme. From 2017 until 2019 Monika took on the role of Biological Safety Officer for the School of AACME.

In 2019 with colleagues from the Department of Chemistry Monika was granted STEMLab Teaching Innovation Award for the project “A Cross-Collaboration Development of Pre-Lab Online Resources for Biological Laboratory Teaching”. In March 2019 Monika achieved the status of Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. In 2019 Monika took the role of University Teacher at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Loughborough University.
