Chemical Engineering Academic takes on a £10k Challenge

Tabla

More than 160 alumni, staff, students, and friends of the University are setting off on a range of exercises and other challenges in a bid to fundraise in support of mental health initiatives at the University

One of our academic staff, Dr Diganta Das, Reader in Porous Media for the Chemical Engineering Department, has decided to join the challenge to promote Music for Mental Wellbeing.

To challenge himself, Diganta will be playing Tabla, (pictured top), an Indian percussion instrument, non-stop for one hour, each day for 10 days.

Diganta would appreciate it if you could help him to raise awareness and support for this cause by donating to his Justgiving fundraising page, as well as spreading this news to your friends and colleagues.

JustGiving accepts individual donations of £2 or above and, it will send your donation directly to Loughborough University and automatically reclaim Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation would be worth more than its value.

Diganta offers his thanks for your support in advance and we wish him all the best in his charitable endeavours!
