About the session

Join us at our next Pop-up Maker Space, with quick and simple creative activities suitable for all.  Everyone knows that it’s good to take a break from your desk or screens for a short while, and doing something creative can be great for your wellbeing. Whether you’ve got 15mins or an hour, there’s something you can make or do in the time you have.

Each Pop-up session has a different focus, which is self-led with simple instructions to follow if needed. For this extra Pop-up, the main activity will be creating Christmas decorations from natural materials. This is in preparation for our Christmas in the Wood event on Wednesday 10 December, where we will be hanging the decorations on a tree in Burleigh Wood as part of the event. You can make a decoration to take home as well as making one to be used at Christmas in the Wood. Decorations used at our event will be available to collect from LU Arts’ office in Martin Hall afterwards.

Our Arts Events Assistants will be on hand to welcome you and chat!

The session is taking place in Martin Hall, on the first floor. There will be signage in the foyer to direct you on the day.

Our regular Pop-up Maker Space sessions take place on the fourth Thursday of the month in different locations on campus from 12.30-2.30pm. Keep an eye on our website for details of each session.

Accessibility

There is step free access into Martin Hall. An accessible toilet is located on the ground floor corridor as well as a lift to the first floor.

If you have any specific access requirements or anything you would like us to be aware of, please let us know in advance by emailing LUArts@lboro.ac.uk and we will do our best to accommodate them.
