About this event
During this engaging workshop, you’ll learn the techniques and intricacies of Chinese Painting, capturing the beauty of traditional brushwork and vibrant colours. Let your creativity flow as you create your own masterpiece to cherish or share with loved ones.
This workshop is beginner-friendly and all materials are provided.
There is a suggested ticket price of £3 to cover the cost of materials, with a ‘Pay What You Can’ option.
About the artist
Yajie Hu is currently a doctoral researcher in the School of Design and Creative Arts at Loughborough University and an LU Arts arts worker. Alongside her research role, she is also a contemporary jewellery artist, exhibiting her creations internationally. Her work has been exhibited at events such as TALENTE 2018 during Munich Jewellery Week. She was one of the three winners of the Preziosa Young Design Competition 2019 in Florence and also a recipient of the Porto Joia Award at Collectiva 2019 in Porto. Her passion for contemporary jewellery has inspired her to delve deeper into research, combining her creative work with academic study.
About Create & Connect
Create and Connect is a series of monthly creative workshops open to all students, taking place in the Library on the second Tuesday of the month. Each session is a one-off and must be booked in advance. They are a chance to meet new people, learn new skills and make something to take away.
Accessibility
