Alum's new teapot successfully funded on Kickstarter

Having worked in the design and engineering industry for the past nine years, Sarah Reed (Industrial Design and Technology BA, 2016) has launched a product business, REEDesigned.

The REEDesigned Teapot is engineered to take the guesswork out of tea making. With an automatic mechanism that extracts the tea leaves at just the right moment, it ensures a perfectly balanced brew every time.

The innovative teapot combines Sarah's background in design engineering with her passion for the ritual of tea. It’s a product that blends functionality, precision, and thoughtful design, elevating the everyday tea experience.

The alum spent over a decade in consumer product, working for Dyson and IKAWA and as a freelance designer. She said:

"I decided it was time to pour my passion into something of my own. I’ve always loved the ritual of tea and coffee, and this project is where my design engineering background meets my daily passion."

Sarah launched a Kickstarter last year which successfully raised more than £12,000.
