Alumni Aaron Soleci, Mark Montovio, and Monica Popham represented Gibraltar in A Tale of Two Cities, a cross-cultural art exhibition recently held in Tangier.

This event was part of the Gibraltar Tangier exchange programme and aimed to strengthen cultural ties between the two cities. It was organised by Gibraltar Cultural Services and the JM Memorial Foundation on behalf of the Ministry of Culture and highlighted Gibraltar's artistic talent abroad.

Multidisciplinary artist Aaron Soleci’s work is bold and thought-provoking, exploring identity, heritage, and cultural dialogue. His art, although deeply rooted in his environment, engages with broader dialogues too.

Sculptor Mark Montovio brought an introspective touch to the exhibition, exploring themes of identity, personal transformation, and connection. His works are quiet yet powerful, inviting reflection through their ritualistic and tactile presence.

Monica Popham won the Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year in 2024, and is known for her soft, atmospheric style and reflections on memory, place, and light. She brought a distinctive voice to the exhibition, connecting coastlines and communities through art.

All three alumni studied Fine Art at Loughborough University.
