Indeed, it has played a significant role in shaping the person I am today. My research work during my PhD in the field of solid mechanics facilitated me to work later in mechanical structures design especially for marine sector”.

The Tamgha-e-Imtiaz Civil Award is also known as the Medal of Excellence and is awarded on 23 March on Pakistan Day. These awards are held at the President House in Islamabad.

Kazim graduated from Loughborough with a master's degree in 2007 in Engineering Design. He then completed a PhD in 2011 in the field of Mechanical Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering.
