Alumnus Mridul completes over 2000 day running streak

Mridul is in Dubai sitting on a fence in his running gear with blue sky and the sun is shining. There are tall buildings in the background.

Mridul Manoj is a long-distance streak runner who has logged over 2000 consecutive days, running at least 3km each day since 20 November 2019.

He began his journey as a personal challenge inspired by US streak runner Hellah Sidibe’s 365-day streak run video. Mridul has evolved into a long-term discipline project across two continents and time zones. Despite not enjoying running, Mridul pushes himself to run daily to embrace discomfort and test his mental resilience.

His journey began at Loughborough, through the pandemic in Dubai, and continued on his return to the UK in 2022.  He's now documenting the entire journey on his Instagram page where he uploads daily photos.

Mridul hopes to use his story to build a community, inspire others, and eventually apply for a Guinness World Record.

He graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in International Business in 2023.
