Augustine graduated with a master’s in Water and Environmental Management from Loughborough. This was a transformative experience which built the foundation for his PhD research on sanitary landfills in Botswana. Since then, he has led over 50 monitoring and evaluation projects across East Africa, and has conducted more than 30 environmental impact assessments, and taught and supervised thousands of students in Kenya, East Africa, and the USA.
His academic leadership includes roles such as Associate Professor, Dean, and Fulbright Scholar in Residence. More recently, he has been consultant and founder of GEO Health, a leading air quality for Health NIH and IDRC funded research and training project based at the University of Nairobi. In addition, he has had several long-standing leadership roles on high school boards in Siaya County, Kenya.
