Loughborough alumnae Women’s Network gathers in London

A group of women standing together

A group of alumnae met in London at the offices of IG near Cannon Street station on 21 February.

The group met for the second time, coming together to network and connect, and to hear from a group of alumnae panellists who kindly shared their own career experiences.

Former member of University Council and Civil Engineering alumna, Sally-Ann Hibberd was on the panel and also arranged the venue for the meet. She is a Non-Executive Director at IG. She was joined on the panel by two alumnae: Sue Anstiss MBE, CEO of Fearless Women, and Emma Barrat, Partner at Prefcap and member of the Alumni Advisory Board.

Dr Jo Jennings, Visiting Member of the University, opened the evening and welcomed guests before handing to the University’s Director of EDI, Veronica Moore, who chaired the panel discussion.

Alumnae heard about the panels’ personal inspirations, the power of networking, inclusion in the workplace and a range of achievements.

The network is currently in its early days, and we welcome people to get involved by joining our brand-new Loughborough Alumnae Women’s Network group on LinkedIn. As we look to host further events and meets in the future, please do let us know what you would like to see from this group, and if you have any ideas for locations, topics, or speakers, please do get in touch.
