Student Records and Operations

Student Records and Operations are here to help you with the University's academic administrative processes for students on taught programmes. This includes things such as registering to study at Loughborough, student loans, managing your student record, exams, and graduation.

Student Records and Operations can help support you with things like:

  • Queries about the calculation of tuition fees (payments should be made via the Finance Office website
  • Questions about the Loughborough University Bursary programme for UK undergraduates
  • Collection of your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) if you have a Student visa
  • CAS requests (if you are an existing taught student and need to apply for a new Student visa)

You will find the answers to most of your questions in the Student Handbook.  If you need a letter confirming that you are a student (e.g. for Council Tax exemption or to open a UK Bank Account), you can download this directly from Student Self-Service. You can also keep your personal details (e.g. addresses) up to date via Student Self-Service.

An appointment system is currently in place for students whose query can only be resolved by visiting the Student Records and Operations Team in person (e.g. for registration).
