Prizes which students must be nominated for

There are a number of University prizes which students can be nominated for by someone recognising their achievements and contributions, the most prestigious being the Sir Robert Martin University Prizes.

Please note nominations for the below prizes are now open, the deadline to submit nominations is Friday 22nd May 2026. A link to the nomination form can be found on the individual prize pages below.

Sir Robert Martin University Prize and Achievement Prizes

Awarded annually to an outstanding student of the University for a combination of both academic and non-academic achievement.

Hannah Community Prize

Awarded to students in recognition of acts of kindness or good neighbourliness in the community.

Loughborough Experience Awards

A set of awards set up by the executive of the Students' Union who wished to recognise and reward students who put a lot of effort into life at Loughborough.

T S Shipman Prizes

Awarded to students of the University or Colleges who have contributed to the development of co-operation between the University or Colleges and the local community.

Mavis Stone Prize for Music

The University's prize for student musicians.
