Entry requirements for students from Uganda
If you are a student from Uganda and you would like to come and study here at Loughborough University, please take a look at the entry requirements listed below.
Students with A Level or IB qualifications will be considered for direct entry to undergraduate degree courses. Please see the undergraduate prospectus for specific course requirements. The Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) is also acceptable with grades equivalent to the typical A Level offer requirements.
English language studied within the above qualifications is normally sufficient to meet the university’s minimum entry requirements. Please see the Approved Qualifications table for further details.
Please note: if you do not meet the entry requirements needed for your undergraduate course, we also offer a number of foundation courses which upon successful completion will give you access to a relevant undergraduate course.
A good Bachelor degree, (typically Second Class Upper division) is accepted for the majority of programmes. Some departments and institutes will accept a strong Second Class Lower Division for particular programmes (Business Management, Computer Science, Chemistry, Digital Technologies, Design Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Geography and International Relations). Please view the postgraduate prospectus for course specific information.
A Masters degree in a relevant subject from a recognised university of appropriate standing will normally be required. Please visit the guidelines for PhD students for more information.
