I chose to study at Loughborough because of the placement year option on my course. I knew that Loughborough was one of the best universities for employability, and that it had many industry-links with various employers.
I then decided to study accounting because, from a young age, I was always interested in numbers. Accounting and Financial Management at Loughborough offered a range of modules, varying from maths-based modules to coding.
I liked that there was a mix of coursework and exam modules, so you pick modules that suit your studying methods. I also liked the structure of lectures and the smaller tutorial classes that allowed you to have group discussions. My favourite module was Company Law in second year as I found this module very interesting and really enjoyed learning about, and discussing, the different cases.
