I wanted to maintain my passion for sport whilst completing my studies and I felt as though Loughborough was the perfect environment for me to do so. Last year, I completed Business with a Foundation Year and have now progressed onto the BSc in International Business, all while playing football outside of lecture time.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience of studying at the Business School so far. There are a lot of places to get help or a second opinion on things when needed and all the staff I have encountered have been very nice. I have also taken a liking to specific modules such as Financial Reporting, in which I got a first in my semester one exam.

For me, the standout features have been some of the lecturers and how animated they can be. I particularly like how they make an effort to engage with all the students in the hall. In my semester two module Organisational Behaviour I have noticed this especially with both of my lecturers.

Another key feature for me would be working with the Lecturer Anje Conradie in my foundation year as she oversaw a lot of my modules. She really helped me gain a good surface level understanding of topics such as micro and macroeconomics, business finance, and marketing.

I'm a big fan of the Careers Network and the events they offer on campus throughout the year. So far, I've attended the Doughnut Economics Action Lab talk which offered great insights into global business development and sustainability. I also spoke to many companies during the Careers Fair, learning more about the specific qualities companies look for when hiring. In my first year at the University, I also played for the Loughborough Students men's first team in football.
