My career ambition is to become a football coach. This degree will definitely help me to achieve this goal, as I have different sport coaching opportunities throughout the course.

Access to the CVA (Coach and Volunteer Academy) also gives me practical football coaching opportunities that helps me to build up my experiences.

Modules in this course further reinforces my knowledge about coaching, performance analysis and exercise science, as well as allowing the real-life practice of this learning.

The academic support that I have received has helped me to improve my skills, such as time management skills and study strategies. I have also been given support on particular topics I am stuck on from different modules, as academics are always willing to help.

I chose to study at Loughborough because the university is well-known for its sports-related subjects and its vibrant athletic community. It has provided me with many sporting opportunities to develop my skills in my favourite sports, such as football.

I enjoy the variety of modules within my course, especially sports coaching, as it not only gives me the opportunity to gain a variety of knowledge about coaching, but it also allows me to have hand-on coaching experiences and seminar discussions about our practical sessions.

My best highlight at Loughborough so far is getting into the AU futsal squad and representing the university by playing in the BUCS and tournaments.

My advice to prospective students is to get involved in different opportunities as much as possible, such as sports, socials, societies and volunteering.

I would also say don’t be afraid to ask for help, as there are many support services available to you here at the university.
