We are really close to J23 on the M1 (2 miles) - on our Open Days just follow the yellow AA signs that are dotted around and will leave you straight to campus. Our postcode for your satnav is LE11 3AJ.
Our Open Days are very busy so the M1 might be a little busier than usual on those days, so you might want to factor that into your journey time.
Parking is available on campus on Open Days but is limited. Don’t worry if there is no car parking left on campus – you can always park in Loughborough town and catch one of the shuttle buses running regularly to the University (free on Open Days.) There are a number of car parks in the town centre – further details on where they are and how to get to them can be found here.
If you are a blue badge holder and require disabled parking please advise a member of our security and parking team, who will be able to direct you to suitable parking. If you let us know beforehand we can send you a VIP parking permit to make things even easier.
When buying your rail tickets pick ‘Loughborough’ as your destination station. Once you arrive at Loughborough station you can get a taxi or the shuttle bus that will be running throughout the day (this bus will be free to use on Open Days and student helpers will be located at the train station to direct you.) It takes about 20 minutes to get to campus on the shuttle bus.
If you are travelling with East Midlands Trains you might be eligible for a special open day discount on your train tickets depending on where you’re travelling from. To find out more get in contact with the East Midlands Trains Sales Team on 0345 712 5678 (option 2) or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and stating that you are attending the Loughborough University Open Day.
