Experience days
Our experience days are the perfect opportunity for you to see our beautiful campus and find out more about what life is like here at Loughborough, to help you make your decision about which universities to put on your UCAS application.
Book your experience day
Offer holders will be invited to attend a visit day with us in Spring 2026 and bookings for these events will open shortly. If you are holding an offer of study with us, we would recommend attending an offer holder visit day over an experience day as they will give you the opportunity to meet academic staff and subject ambassadors, see academic facilities amongst other activity. Please check your emails for your invitation and link to book.
What to expect at an experience day
Our tours of the campus usually take between 60 - 75 minutes and cover the majority of campus (excluding academic departments and inside our accommodation). You'll be able to take a look at our world-class facilities and enjoy our green open spaces.

Upon arrival at the University please make your way to the Edward Herbert Building (EHB) to register for the event.
If you want to arrive a little earlier and grab some refreshments before your tour, the Edward Herbert Building’s Food Court will be open where you can purchase hot and cold drinks and food.
Don’t forget to wear comfy shoes as our campus is big and our tours are on foot! If you or your guest have any accessibility requirements which you would like us to factor into your tour experience, give us a call on 01509 222804 or email us.
Guests
In order to be able to effectively manage the experience day events, guests are limited to a maximum of two guests per person. If you bring additional guests with you to the event, unfortunately, they will not be able to join the tour. However, they are welcome to enjoy the facilities available at the EHB Food Court or wander around the campus on a self-guided tour (the tours start and finish at the Edward Herbert Building so arrange to meet any extra guests back there at the end of the event).
Finding out more about your subject
These events do not include course specific information and it is not possible to show you inside our academic departments during your tour due to our teaching and research commitments.
You can browse our undergraduate courses where you will also find the contact details for the academic department you are interested in. Colleagues will be happy to answer your questions via email or phone. You can also see inside many of our academic buildings and labs online with our virtual tours.
Accommodation
Unfortunately, we are unable to take tour groups in to view our student accommodation during these events. Our accommodation is currently full of our current students and so for health, safety and security reasons we aren’t able to take guests into their homes.
You can find out more about the accommodation options available to you on our dedicated accommodation website where you can take virtual tours of all 17 undergraduate halls we have on offer.
Parking
Parking is available onsite in a number of car parks near to the Edward Herbert Building, including Car Park 5, Car Park 18 and Car Park 19 which is right by the EHB.
Parking on campus, especially on a Wednesday, can get quite busy so you can also find parking at Car Park 1 and Holywell Car Park. These car parks are a little bit of a walk away (approx 10-15 minutes) from EHB but there is also the bus service available - get off at the 'Accommodation Centre' stop which is right by EHB.
Parking for experience day guests is free of charge, but you are required to register your vehicle with us. You can do this in advance of the event or on the day, whichever is easier for you. Find instructions below on what you need to do.
