During my master’s, I gained a lot of professional experience, completing two content writing internships organised and sponsored by the University in collaboration with external companies.
These placements allowed me to apply my transferable skills in writing and research within a professional environment. Both internships were based in the health sector, complementing my research interests and employability.
The Careers team were incredibly helpful during my internship applications, looking through my CV and cover letters, as well as during the internships themselves, regularly checking up on my progress.
Outside of my course, throughout my undergraduate studies and into my master’s, I was actively involved with the Students’ Union and its societies. From Flix Cinema, the Feminist Society and even a Taylor Swift Society, there really is something for everyone and many opportunities to find your community.
Aside from societies, I enjoyed the odd occasion to let my hair down. The many pubs and clubs in Loughborough were a welcome distraction from all the books. And the campus itself is safe and secure, with plenty of green spaces to enjoy.
