My experience as a PhD student at Loughborough University has so far been great as I have become part of a diverse community of fellow researchers who are very supportive and willing to share their knowledge and PhD journeys with me. The seminars that are organised promote networking and collaborative research since you can attend regardless of your discipline group. The staff are extremely helpful, especially my two supervisors who are very supportive about my research as well as my wellbeing, personal and professional development. There are also many social and volunteering activities that you can partake in.

For prospective PhD students, Loughborough Business School has a strong research culture, promotes the overall development of doctoral researchers, and encourages diversity and inclusion.

To me, it was one of the best decisions to come to Loughborough. My supervisors have been hugely supportive and always encouraging and challenging me to new heights. There are many training facilities, networking opportunities and research seminars held in collaboration with academics from Oxford, Imperial, as well as other internationally renowned universities.

The research office space is also diverse, surrounded by many international students, and there is an absolutely fantastic rapport among colleagues which is a delight, with everyone sharing ideas and supporting each other all the time.

Loughborough has also been the best place for me to grow as an individual through the opportunity to experience hall and student life. I had a great time in the University exploring my interests, making friends, and developing my interpersonal and professional skill set by taking extra roles such as subwarden, PGR Vice President, Social Events Co-ordinator, and member of School conference team.

Finally, the campus has state-of-the-art facilities, spectacular occasional double rainbows and a lot of greenery, which creates a serene and sublime ambience perfect for embarking on this PhD journey!

Being a PhD researcher in the Business School at Loughborough University has led me to be in an intellectually challenging environment, think more deeply about things, do research, be more rigorous, have time to think, skilfully teach, and obtain all these practical experiences that made me an independent researcher. Loughborough University is a great and safe working place and I am so happy I chose to have a degree from this renowned University.
