Our Department of Mathematics Education has and international reputation for research into mathematics education and is one of the largest groups of mathematics education researchers in the UK.

We prepare our future teachers to engage and motivate school students to be mathematical thinkers and not just learners of items in a mathematics curriculum. Our course will help you to:

  • Develop the ability to plan sequences of lessons, and to teach and manage pupils effectively
