Outstanding campus
Our superb campus is one of our most glorious assets. It’s the size of over 8,000 tennis courts or 345 UEFA Champions League football pitches. Wherever you go, you can’t fail to see our sporting heritage, but we are so much more that that.
1. It's large!
Our campus contains a beautiful mix of heritage and modern buildings. Our favourites include the stunning Hazlerigg and Rutland buildings that lie around the perimeter of the iconic Loughborough fountain!
2. You can live on campus
We have three self-catered halls of residence available to postgraduate students so that you can live with other students like you.
3. Excellent facilities on your doorstep
Our incredible facilities include lecture theatres, laboratories, an impressive and recently refurbished library, an arts centre, two theatres, a conference centre, accommodation, restaurants, a bank, shops, a health centre and of course, the incredible Loughborough Students' Union. Take a virtual tour to see for yourself!
4. Located in the heart of the UK
We're lucky to have such a beautiful place to call home. Plus, Loughborough is only a short train ride away from London, Derby, Leicester and Nottingham. We're also really close to East Midlands Airport which means you can hop on a plane at the weekend and explore what the rest of Europe has to offer.*
Green campus
A car is not necessary in Loughborough – the University has convenient shuttle buses which operate across the campus and into town and the railway station every 20 minutes. Students with disabilities or, in exceptional circumstances, those with other needs, are able to bring vehicles onto campus.
The University actively seeks to protect and improve the environment as far as practicable – this includes recycling, reducing waste, conserving energy and using renewable sources, and protecting wildlife on campus. Our green outlook is also an integral part of our teaching, as many of our schools/departments run degree courses that include sustainability-related modules.
