Submitting a new application close to the deadline

New applications submitted close to the deadline will only be considered if all supporting documents are submitted at the same time, allowing for a fast-track assessment of the application.

New applications or supporting documents to meet offer conditions submitted after the deadline will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will only be accepted if places still exist on the programme and there is sufficient time to process the application and confirm results to ensure the student’s arrival in time for the start of term.

A CAS may be issued to an international student after the above deadlines if there is a genuine reason why the deposit was delayed, acceptable evidence of this reason is provided and there is an assurance that a Priority Visa application will be made.

High-demand programmes

High-demand programmes can reach their maximum offer limit some time before the above dates, so may stop making offers at an earlier point in the admissions process. This is particularly so if the programme intake numbers are constrained by external accreditation. You are therefore recommended to submit your application as soon as possible to ensure you are not disappointed.

When should I arrive on campus?

Please note, there may be induction activities which you are expected to attend immediately before the start of term. If applicable, your School will write to you with more information.

Students are normally expected to make adequate arrangements to be in attendance at the University on the first day of term, as outlined in paragraph 1.2 of the Terms and Conditions of Study. Different arrangements may be in place for programmes taught by distance learning or online.
