Mia Maravilha
Hi, I’m Mia, and I’m running for Sports Sec because I’m exactly who you want helping our hall to fight for another championship. I’ll make sure we get the training sessions we need, keep trials fair, and continue the fun ODEs. You’ll be seeing me at fixtures, cheering our teams on and assisting with whatever they need.
My experience as a sixth form prefect taught me the importance of good organisation and clear communication, skills which will be useful for staying on top of equipment, submitting fixture results on time, and keeping everyone informed.
I’d love to get as many people as possible involved, so if you want a more inclusive and organised Telford, vote for me!

I am also committed to maximising our hall’s engagement with RAG initiatives by planning hall-specific events that are both enjoyable and impactful, while fostering a strong sense of community.
Alongside this, I will clearly and promptly communicate all LSU RAG opportunities to Telford members, ensuring everyone is aware of how they can get involved. Debbie Adigun
I aspire to take on a role within the welfare offices to make a meaningful impact on student wellbeing. My main focus is prioritising welfare, particularly mental health, in the high-pressure environment of university life. I speak from personal experience and want to support students who feel overwhelmed, helping them adopt healthy coping mechanisms and better manage their mental health. I hope to encourage others to recognise the importance of wellbeing and to value it in their own lives. I am empathetic, a strong listener, and manage my time well, so I will always make space for students’ concerns and new ideas. I am also passionate about balancing working hard and having fun, and I want to help others find what works for them. I aim to challenge the stigma around the term “welfare” and show that it is not only for those who are struggling, but also about acknowledging where you are and taking steps to improve. Overall, I want to create a positive, supportive, and productive environment.
Laila Hallett
I am running for Welfare & Diversity Representative because I am passionate about teamwork and creating supportive communities. Student wellbeing is crucial to the university experience, and I would love to assist Telford residents in coping and thriving through their own individual journeys.
If I am elected, I will prioritise open communication and collaboration as I believe Telford should continue to be a safe environment with the opportunity for everybody to speak up about the challenges they are facing. I will listen and ensure concerns are addressed, focusing on achievable actions and working with the committee team to ensure inclusivity and welfare support are met. I will continue to signpost and promote awareness of existing welfare services, all while encouraging new suggested initiatives. I would like to dedicate myself to forming supportive and welcoming conversations with Telford members and I aim to ensure my time is spent meaningfully and fairly on tackling any concerns.
I hope to bring a positive effect upon Telford and further develop its sense of belonging. Thank you for considering me for your Welfare & Diversity Representative! :0)
Rakshana Logewaran
Hi , I'm running for Wellbeing and Diversity Representative.
This is because I believe I will be helpful in making everyone in our hall feels like they have some who will support them, be there for them and help them feel less alone. Telford already feels like a great community full of diverse students and backgrounds and I believe that next year I can help make our community even more of a great place for us all by making sure that everyone and anyone is heard , celebrated and no one is left alone.
As the representative, I'll make sure that wellbeing services and other support services and constantly promoted and make it easier for students like us to access them whenever and wherever. If support and help is needed , I'll be available!
I'll promote more equality and equity and make sure that everyone is listened to and respected and make sure more diversity initiatives are brought into place. I want all cultures , backgrounds and people to be celebrated and appreciated by our hall. I will make sure that any concerns and issues and even the small ones will all be heard.
I'll provide events designed for everyone. I'll make sure that you will all be included from planning fun and exciting events to creating calm and relaxing events where you can meet people and feel supported. There'll be something for everyone!
I want everyone especially as your all living here, to feel safe ,supported, have some one you can talk to ,not feel alone or scared and even have some similar you can to relate to.

Hi!
With over three years of experience in graphic design, already managing an employer's online presence in the city and practising photography, my role as Media & Stash Rep would allow me to promote Telford and the events held throughout the year with aesthetic and entertaining content!
And maybe even update Telford's logo 👀
Societies Representative
Organise and run events within Hall collaboratively with societies; promote Societies events to Hall members; support at Winterfest and the Activities Bazaar; signpost Hall members to relevant societies of interest within LSU; attend Societies training and meetings.
Elizabeth Rubio
As a societies representative, I will form a strong link between Telford residents and Loughborough University societies.
Promoting societies events, guiding members to a variety of societies that may be of interest to them, and supporting at LSU events will be my upmost priority.
Campus & Sustainability Representative
Responsible for teaching and promote an environmentally sustainable lifestyle to all hall residents. Key duties include attending monthly Sustainability and Campus Hall Representative meetings; attending termly Estates and Facilities management meetings; organising campaigns and events that raise awareness of environmental issues or take relevant action.
Olivier Watly
If elected as Campus & Sustainability Representative, I want to support sustainability at both Telford and across the wider campus in a way that feels practical, visible, and genuinely student-led. As a Geography with Economics student, I’m interested in environmental issues, but especially in how sustainable choices can realistically fit into everyday student life. As a current Telford Hall member, I understand how a large, green hall community works and what students are actually willing to engage with, which is why I focus on sustainability that works for students rather than policies alone.
If successful, I will prioritise initiatives that make sustainability easy rather than intrusive. This includes running short, themed awareness weeks and informal sustainability stalls at Telford, focusing on things students deal with daily, such as energy use in halls, waste reduction, and making recycling in shared kitchens easier to understand and use. I would also like to support optional, low-pressure activities such as small planting or green-space care sessions, allowing students to get involved in a relaxed and social way.
I believe a well-maintained and sustainable living environment supports student wellbeing, mindset, and academic focus. I will actively gather feedback from residents and represent these views in Sustainability, Campus Hall, and Estates meetings, while engaging with existing university sustainability initiatives so that student-led action at Telford supports wider campus sustainability in a realistic and meaningful way.
