Welcome to Royce

Located in the popular student village, Royce consists of 19 accommodation blocks of two and three storeys. It is close to lecture halls, sports facilities, the library and is only a 20-minute walk from town. The hall is named after Sir Henry Royce, founder member of Rolls-Royce Ltd, a pioneer of aeronautical engineering in education.

Winter Committee Elections 2025

Nominations open now. Please speak to Tilly or Rudro on committee in-person or via text message. Send them a poster advertising yourself for the role. For advice, look at the Royce Whatsapp General Chat. 

Nominations open from Thursday 30th October and close on Sunday 2nd November at 6pm.

Upcoming Plans

Thank you to everybody who participated in our Welcome programme! More activities within your hall are coming soon. Keep an eye out for the following:

  • Winter Elections (November): Nominate yourself for a committee position and/or vote on who you wish to run certain sections within your hall.
  • Winter Ball (November – December): A winter-time formal celebration with the hall. Tickets available to purchase for residents, affiliates and guests.
  • Refreshers (early February): A social programme of events at the beginning of the second semester.
  • Spring Elections (February): Nominate yourself for a committee position and/or vote on who you wish to run certain sections within your hall.
  • Summer Ball (May): A summertime formal celebration to end your academic year.
  • Hall Day (May-June): An outdoor fun-filled day of activities to destress before final exams.
