Trans and Non-binary Support and Advice Service: 1 to 1 support sessions available

The aim of the service is to ensure that transgender and non-binary students who may need additional support are able to access this during their time at Loughborough University.

This service is led by Lisa Vine, an LGBT+ advocate, consultant and trainer based in Loughborough, who is also a Loughborough University alumna and previous Chair of Loughborough Student Union's LGBT+ Association. With almost eight years experience supporting transgender and non-binary children, teenagers and young adults, Lisa led a nationally recognised, award winning regional BBC Children in Need project based in Leicestershire.

1 to 1 sessions

A confidential and safe space, these sessions offer support and advice for transgender and non-binary students as well as those questioning their gender identity. It provides a space and time, as well as a friendly face and a listening ear, for students to access support and advice in a way that it right for them. As just a few examples, we cater to students needing specific advice or support regarding social and/or medical transition or disclosing their identity to others.

We offer a drop-in and bookable appointments on a Wednesday afternoon which are held in the quiet room in the Centre of Faith and Spirituality within the Edward Herbert Building.
