British Standards (BSOL)

A standard is an agreed way of doing something e.g.making a product, managing a process or delivering a service. Our subscription covers BS standards and BS EN ISO standards.

To log in please click on the Institutional login link, select Loughborough University from the list and log in with your usual University credentials. Please note that  British Standards Online (BSOL) is gradually introducing a new security feature to their documents. This means that from the beginning of March 2021, BSOL documents can only be opened with a plug-in installed on your device (File Open). The File Open plug-in has been installed on University lab machines and is being made available via the Software Centre to those using the University’s managed desktop service. To download it onto your own device the BSI have provided this help document.
