This library contains a generic blank template that you can use when preparing to recruit to a role, along with job templates for key roles across the following job families:
• Administrative Services
• Technical
• Research, Enterprise and Teaching (RTE)
• Supporting Specialist Academic (SSA)
Please ensure you refer to these templates each time you recruit, as they are updated regularly.
Guidance: How to use the generic JD/PS template
- The job description and person specification templates include built-in guidance to support completion.
- Sections highlighted in red indicate where content should be added to tailor the document to the role.
- Yellow highlighted sections in the blank template provide guidance and should be removed once the template has been completed. This includes deleting the note at the top of the document addressed to recruiting managers.
- Job family templates also contain built in guidance and highlighted section to support you when completing the document.
Remember: additional accreditations can be added alongside the core University ones mentioned in the templates.
