Admissions Office
Every year the University receives over 32,000 undergraduate and 25,000 postgraduate taught applications which are processed by the Admissions Office.
The University is committed to the delivery of an efficient and professional admissions service to all applicants.
Responsibility for admitting high calibre undergraduate and postgraduate taught students to Loughborough rests with the Admissions Office. The team:

establish intake targets in conjunction with Planning, and monitor application, offer and intake numbers throughout the year

collect information about entry requirements and ensure that accurate information is held in the University’s recruitment materials

provide advice on qualification equivalence and offer levels

process application decisions, verify qualifications/documents, and manage Confirmation, Clearing and Adjustment processes in line with the University’s admissions policies and procedures

issue Confirmation of Acceptance for Study (CAS) statements where a Student Visa is required

organise meetings of Admissions Tutors’ Forum and provide training for new Admissions Tutors/staff involved in admissions

work with other Professional Services to identify and introduce improvements to systems and processes related to admissions
As well as undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes, the Admissions Office is responsible for the admission of visiting students and those applying for short/closed programmes.
