Charlotte holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Leeds (2020), during which she completed a one-year study placement at North Carolina State University. She subsequently completed an MSc in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Nottingham, where her research project focused on dietary interventions to support long-term weight loss maintenance following bariatric surgery. Following her studies, Charlotte joined a commercial weight management organisation on a 2-year research and insights graduate scheme, gaining experience in weight management research and the evaluation of real-world interventions. She later moved into a clinical healthcare setting, providing personalised consultations around nutrition and physical activity for health promotion and weight management. In September 2026, Charlotte returned to academia, joining Loughborough University as a Research Associate working with Dr Claire Madigan, within the Centre for Lifestyle Medicine and Behaviour.
Charlotte's research interests focus on lifestyle approaches to weight management and their role in promoting sustainable improvements in health and wellbeing.
