The partnership will work with research teams across England to develop and deliver ground-breaking health and social care research.
The NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) will provide researchers - especially those applying for and in receipt of NIHR funding - access to support, advice and expertise in clinical and applied health and care research.

Researchers from the NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), Centre for Lifestyle Medicine and Behaviour (CLiMB) and the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine at Loughborough University are among the partner research units, groups and centres who will benefit from the funding.
David Stensel, Professor of Exercise Metabolism, School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences, added: “The RSS will ensure Loughborough’s health related research adheres to state-of-the-art methods, procedures and protocols including best practice for PPIE and EDI. Hence it will facilitate excellent health related research at Loughborough.”
