Chuka is currently a PhD research student with the Wind and Water Power Research Group at Centre for Renewable Energy Systems Technology (CREST), School of Electronic, Electrical and Systems Engineering, Loughborough University, United Kingdom. He is under the supervision of Prof Simon Watson.
He obtained his MSc degree in Environmental Management from Coventry University, United Kingdom, where he used a wind tunnel to investigate the influence of turbulence on wind turbines by comparing VAWT and HAWT. It was this research that triggered his interest in wind energy and hence, his quest for more knowledge in the field which led him to pursue further research at CREST.
He was born and educated in Nigeria where he obtained a BSc degree in Physics/Electronics from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. In his BSc research project, he looked at ways of improving energy generation and distribution in Nigeria.
Chuka works as a Scientific Officer in the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Abuja, Nigeria.
