Background

Aoshi Yang is a Doctoral Researcher in the Centre for Renewable Energy Systems Technology (CREST) at Loughborough University. He completed his MSc in Materials Science and Engineering at Loughborough University.

Aoshi's research focuses on the characterisation of cadmium telluride (CdTe) thin film photovoltaic devices. His work investigates CdSeTe/CdTe absorber materials using scanning electron microscopy (SEM)-based techniques, including electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and cathodoluminescence (CL) spectroscopy. Additionally, his work involves focused ion beam (FIB) preparation for cross-sectional analysis and lift-outs.
