Background
Dr Hooper graduated top of his year from Loughborough University with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Mathematics in 2017, and completed his PhD at the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering, Loughborough University in 2021 where he investigated longitudinal strain wave propagation in viscoelastic waveguides. He then continued this research as an EPSRC funded Research Associate between 2021 and 2022 before moving to the Sports Technology Institute as a University Teacher, and more recently to the post of Doctoral Fellow.
He is currently a Research Associate under the supervision of Dr Chinthana Panagamuwa and Prof. James Flint.
