Profile
Dr Chune Zhang is a visiting postdoc researcher in the department of Fashion Design and Technology of the School of Design and Creative Arts at Loughborough University.
In addition to her visitor ship, Chune is also currently an associate professor in Southwest University in China. She is working in the department of fashion design and engineering at College of Sericulture, Textile and Biomass Sciences in Southwest University, and her major teaching modules such as Womenswear Design, Fashion History and Design Aesthetic.
Chune holds a PhD in Textile Science and Engineering from Donghua University(2022). Her academic journey includes two years as a teaching assistant (2010-2012), ten years as a lecturer (2012-2022) and three years as an associate professor (2022-present) in Southwest University.

Research
Dr Chune is interested in exploring the combination of textile patterns with computer technologies, digital design methods in fashion design, traditional textile and garment making techniques. She currently holds two projects, including the Chongqing Federation of Social Science Funding and Fundamental Research Funds in Central Universities.

Dr Chune is currently holds a number of positions with external organizations. She is:
- Member of the Academic Committee of the China Fashion Designer Association.
- Member of the Expert Database on Intangible Cultural Heritage in Southeast Guizhou, China.
- Member of Chongqing Fashion Designer Association.
