Statement

Using drawing as a starting point we are exploring and questioning how as human beings we can process and make sense of emerging digital technologies. By using motion capture technology data as source material, layers of meaning can be created through a multidisciplinary process that reflects the realities of human, multi-sensory, perception. 

Bio

Helen Farrell PhD is a visual artist based in Cork City and is a lecturer in Fine Art in the MTU Crawford College of Art and Design (MTU CCAD). She has been instrumental in the running and setting up of artist run studios and workshop facilities in Cork City, including Cork Artist's Collective and Cork Film Centre. She is also co-founder of Drawbridge the Drawing Research Hub at MTU CCAD
