Diagrammatic Robotic Drawings transform live choreographic patterns into visual form using a CNC drawing machine. Generated from data visualisations of live performances and drawn live in the gallery, these drawings capture the fleeting traces of dance. Abstract representations of bodies in motion unfold, revealing the live performances’ choreographic patterns as they are drawn through mediated and collaborative processes, with the CNC machine.

Bio

Ella Emanuele is an artist and researcher whose work explores choreography and dance as generative modalities for drawing. She translates movement into visual languages, examining the interplay of site, time, and the body, and reimagining performance through material forms and mediated visual means.
