Danica Maier

Danica Maier, ‘Birdsong Transpositions’, Video.

Statement

This work explores how the ephemeral act of listening can be translated into drawing through intersemiotic translation. The resulting marks trace a moment of presence, focusing attention on sound, space, and stillness. Drawing becomes a practice of attunement, translating hearing into seeing.
